Vchiban Collection: Addressing Concerns & Next Steps

We recently fulfilled the pre-orders for the VchiBan x Infinikey collection, and we want to provide full transparency regarding the final product. We understand that some customers have concerns, and we sincerely appreciate your feedback. Our goal is to ensure you have all the necessary information, along with options to address any issues you may have encountered.
Your Options
We are committed to offering solutions to improve your experience with the VchiBan collection. If you are dissatisfied, you may choose from the following options:
Full Refund & Return: If you would like to return your keyboard for a full refund, please reply to this email with "REFUND" at the top, along with your shipping address and order details. We will provide a prepaid shipping label, and a refund will be processed once the product is received.
Replacement Switches: If you prefer an alternative switch that allows the keyboard’s backlight to shine through more effectively, we are offering replacement Keychron clear switches. To request these, please respond to this email with "NEW SWITCHES" at the top, including your shipping address and order information. We will provide a prepaid shipping label, and a replacement will be sent once the product is received. We estimate that replacement switches will be delivered within 3-4 weeks.
Product Concerns & Clarifications
Backlight Brightness
The reduced backlight visibility is due to the final switch selection made by the client, who opted for the premium Gateron Oil King switches. These switches feature an opaque housing that blocks LED light from shining through. While this decision was made to prioritize a smoother typing experience, we understand that it may not align with all users’ expectations. The video displayed on the store page was an internal update and was not intended for marketing purposes. If backlighting is a priority for you, we recommend using the clear Keychron switches we are offering as replacements.
Packaging
Regarding custom packaging, we communicated to the client that it would only be feasible if the product met the required minimum order quantity (MOQ). While the keycaps met this threshold, the keyboards did not. As a result, the packaging was kept standard, and this was reflected in the absence of packaging renders on the product page.
We strive to make every release as memorable and collectible as possible. However, there are certain limitations we must adhere to, and we do our best to communicate these early in the process to our collaborators.
Our Role as a Manufacturer
Infinikey is a B2B wholesale provider, working with various brands, companies, and creators to bring custom keyboard products to life. While we provide assets and information to our clients and share relevant details on our public channels, we do not control how a product is ultimately represented or marketed.
